Another interesting water art : -
A 25-foot-high sheet of falling water that can display arbitrary bitmaps in falling water at a Jeep dealership. Recently seen at NAIAS and on tour from Detroit to Beijing. The 3,000 valve, 20-pump contraption cycles 1,000 gallons of water to a 24 ft. drop, programmed to take shape of the corresponding image inputs.
The structure of the lighting battery is quite simple. We change nothing in the traditional battery structure, but install the minitype LED in the opening of the separatrix of anode and cathode on the top (or bottom) of the battery and conceal the conductive foil beneath the battery package film, which simplifies on/off function. The advantages of such an easy structure are as follows:
Nothing has been changed in the traditional battery structure and changes in the production process of lighting batteries are slight. Therefore, it is easy for production.
The lighting structure does not occupy any battery space and consequently it will not have any impact on the capacity of the battery.
The increased parts are minitype LED and conductive foil, which are cheap. Therefore, the production cost is comparatively low.
LED boasts a pretty long service life, so recycling is achievable and it is more environmentally friendly. We can see that such low costs and tiny amelioration may enhance so many new functions of a battery.
A Novel Idea and I guess a good business too … This company “CHARACTER OY” in Helsinki, recycles old display signs and logos are taken down and demolished. The characters are recycled into individual design objects. by dismantling the letters, cleaning them up and with a new transformer, LED lights and the power cord, they are put back together.
A bit dear but I would like an “N” please!
The letters are protected against rain (IP23). The re-installed LED’s have a life span of 30 000 hours. This procedure has been tested to meet the European electricity standards.

Water will be a rare commodity soon! Or rather it already is … Earlier we understand this fact and start conserving , better for us and the future. These three gizmos may be not totally practical , in terms of costs and current recession cycle but they are too good to be just ignored. These gizmos save/conserve water while showering and more than that they can be a constant reminder that we need to save water every time we see them in our shower …
Designers: Nallieli Santamaraia, Brad Smith, Franklin Crosby, Raymond Bessemer, Sergio Coronado & Sean Whang
REFRESH-N-REMIND displays the amount of water you used in the earlier shower you had and how much you are currently using , which probably intuitively tells us to use a little less than earlier.
REDUCE-YOUR-USE Mat has embedded sensors that switch on the shower as soon as you get within the cascade range, and automatically switches it off, when we move away.
RELAX-N-REUSE Seat is probably the simplest of the ideas. This consists of a seat that you sit whilst bathing. The gaps in the seat lead the water to storage pitchers that collect your used bath water. This water can be recycled for watering plants etc. Oh and we already do that in our native place, where the bath outlet directly runs into the palm fields …
