Mini Hydro Turbine : Generating Personal Power

This idea was prposed by Jin Woo Han at the Greeener Conference, NY January 2009
It is a sell-electricity generator from water. Every house uses water, however, they do not recognize utility of water. They just spend water for many reasons.
‘Mini Hydro turbine’ was aimed for this, make electronic energy, store electricity to settled battery and use it at any time. ‘Mini Hydro turbine’ makes energy by pressure of water that comes out form water tap like mini turbine. Then it stores electricity that was made by ‘Mini Hydro Turbine’. Finally, it can be used by people whenever they want to run or charge some gadgets.

Cycool : Cardio Bike with Self Propelled Cooling Fan

Cycool is made for people’s health. Most people turn on an eletronic fan or air conditioner for cool down their body after exercise. This behavior make people use more electricty. They usually turn on the cooling system with high level, because they are warm and sweaty. Cycool can reduce the wasting of electricity by selfgen-erating cooling system. The Cycool doesn’t need power, it is worked by only human exercise. The fan on the body is working while people are pedaling the Cycool.

This self-generating system will save the energy.

Flat, Flexible Loudspeaker

imageSeemed like an APRIL Fools Gag to me , but looks real …
A groundbreaking new loudspeaker, less than 0.25mm thick, has been developed by University of Warwick engineers, using technology that could signal the beginning of the end for conventional speakers.

Lightweight and inexpensive to manufacture, the speakers are slim and flexible: they could be concealed inside ceiling tiles or car interiors, or printed with a design and hung on the wall like a picture. Pioneered by University of Warwick spin-out company, Warwick Audio Technologies, the  ‘Flat, Flexible Loudspeaker’ (FFL) is ideal for public spaces as it delivers directional sound waves, which project further than sound from conventional speakers.

Steve Couchman, CEO of Warwick Audio Technologies, is passionate about the technology and believes it could entirely replace the speakers currently used in homes and in cars, as well as in public address systems used in passenger terminals and shopping centres.
